Jakarta – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said Indonesia has the power to develop products environmentally friendly or green products. This environmentally friendly product is estimated to be able to increase competitiveness Indonesia in the global market.
“I see that we also have strength in green product, green economy,” said President Jokowi at the Opening Ceremony of the Compass100 CEO Forum 2021, Jakarta, Thursday (21/1/2021).
Green products, said President Jokowi, are a long-term strength where all countries in the region are starting to look to work on the environmentally friendly product segment. One of them in Europe, there is a law (UU) that limits products that are not environmentally friendly.
“So that in the future I see that this green product will develop, low carbon, resources Efficient, socialy inclusive. Everything, social equality, reducing environmental risks, efficient resources, this will develop,” he explained.
The former governor of DKI Jakarta added that Indonesia has a great opportunity to enter the green product market or green economy in terms of production, distribution, and consumption.
“Because in the future, the public’s awareness of the environment will increase, this will all affect the economy, business, global, and of course will affect our economy, “explained President Jokowi.
